Saturday, May 27, Shir Chadash will celebrate Shavuot by reading the Ten Commandments and will talk about Ruth and Boaz. The Book of Ruth is central to Shavuot with its connection to the spring harvest. The story also emphasizes the Torah values of giving, kindness and selflessness.
